Privacy Policy


Seattle Pride Hockey Association, Inc. (“SPHA”) respects your concerns about privacy. This Privacy Notice applies to personal information we collect including information collected on the websites and mobile application (collectively, the “Sites”) listed here.

By visiting the Sites and providing personal information or otherwise providing requested personal information, you consent to the collection, storage and disclosure of your personal information as described herein. This Privacy Statement describes the types of personal information we collect, how we may use that information and with whom we may share it. The Privacy Statement also describes the measures we take to protect the security of the personal information. We also tell you how you can reach us to ask us to update your preferences regarding how we communicate with you or answer any questions you may have about our privacy practices.


Other than as specified herein, all personal information provided by you will be provided with your specific knowledge and consent. The personal information you may provide to us may include:

  • Contact information such as name, postal address, telephone number, and email address
  • Date of birth, gender and age
  • Payment information, such as credit card number and expiration date
  • Information to identify sweepstakes and contest entrants and notify prize winners


Sweepstakes and Competition entrants may provide personal information via the sites or otherwise. By entering SPHA sweepstakes or competitions and providing requested entry information, you are consenting to the collection, storage and disclosure of personal information and the transfer of intellectual property ownership to all materials created as part of the sweepstakes or contest entry to SPHA. Personal information may be collected by third party service providers with whom SPHA contracts to provided services in connection with sweepstakes or competitions and if such is the case, we will request that such service providers make the personal information available to SPHA for our use in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Notice.

Prize winners may be required to provide additional personal information which may be subject to additional or separate privacy terms to be provided when such additional information is requested. Such privacy terms may be those of SPHA, the prize provider or administrator or all three. Acceptance of a contest prize constitutes permission for SPHA and its agencies to use winner’s name and/or likeness and biographical materials for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law. Notwithstanding the foregoing disclosures applicable to prize winners, without the prize winner’s prior permission, we will not share a prize winner’s social security number, or other tax or medical information or driver’s license data, or other information that may be subject to privacy protections under federal and state law, if such information is collected as a condition of receiving a prize.


When you visit our Sites, we collect certain information by automated means, using technologies such as cookies, Web servicer logs and Web beacons.

Cookies are small files that websites send to your computer or other Internet-connected device to uniquely identify your browser or to store information or settings in your browser. You browser may tell you how to be notified when you received certain types of cookies and how to restrict or disable certain cookies. Please note, however, that without cookies you may not be able to use all of the features of our Sites.

In conjunction with gathering of information through cookies, our Web servers may log information such as our operation system type, browser type domain, and other system settings, as well as the language your system uses and the country and time zone where your device is located. The Web server logs also may record information such as the address of the Web page that referred you to our Site and the IP address of the device you use to connect to the Internet.

To control which Web servers collect information by automated means, we may place tags on our Web pages called “web beacons”, which are small files that allow us to measure the actions of visitor to our Sites.

We may use third-party Web analytics services on our Sites, such as those of Omniture and Google Analytics. These service providers use cookies and Web beacons to analyze how users use the Sites. The information collected by the cookies and Web beacons (including your IP address) will be disclosed to these service providers, who use the information to evaluate your use of the Sites.

  • Send out email notification to you to announce special offers from us, our affiliates, and marketing partners
  • Protect against and prevent fraud, unauthorized transaction, claims, and other liabilities, and manage risk exposure and quality
  • Comply with and enforce applicable legal requirements, industry standards and our policies and terms, such as our terms of use
  • We may combine your personal information provided with outside records to enhance our ability to market products or services that we believe may be of interest to you.


We may share personal information we collect on our Sites or otherwise with our marketing partners who perform services on our behalf. These service providers are not authorized by us to use or disclose the information expect as necessary to perform services on our behalf of comply with legal requirements. We may also share certain personal information among our affiliates and joint marketing partners for the purposes described in this Privacy Notice, including for their marketing purposes.

We also may disclose information about you (i) if we are required to do so by law or legal process, (ii) to law enforcement authorities, or (iii) when we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to prevent harm or loss or in connection with an investigation of suspected or actual illegal activity.

We also reserve the right to transfer personal information we have about you in the event we sell or transfer all or a portion of our organization or assets. Should such a sale or transfer occur, we will use reasonable efforts to direct the transferee to use personal information you have provided to us in a manner that is consistent with our Privacy Statement.


If you would like to update or modify your personal information or subscription preferences, you may contact us as described in the How to Contact Us section below. You may also unsubscribe from promotional emails by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link in any promotional email you received from us. If you “unsubscribe” from all e-mail communications from SPHA, you may be unable to claim a prize in a sweepstakes, contest or competition, where notification to winners is made exclusively by email.


We maintain appropriate administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect the personal information you provide on our Sites against accidental, unlawful or unauthorized destruction, loss, alteration, access, disclosure or use and other unlawful forms of processing.


Our Sites may provide links other websites for your convenience and information. Those websites may be operated by entities not affiliated with us. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content and privacy policies or practices of any third party including, but not limited to, social media sites and user generated content sites. Linked and other third party websites may have their owner privacy policies which we strongly suggest you review if you visit and provide personal information intended for use by SPHA through any linked websites, social media sites or other third party sites.


The Sites are not intended or directed to children under the age of thirteen and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of thirteen on the Sites. If we are notified that we have inadvertently received personal information from a visitor under the age of thirteen on the Sites, we will delete the information from our records.


This Privacy Notice may be updated periodically and without prior notice to you to reflect changes in our personal information practice or relevant laws. We will post a prominent notice on to notify you of any significant changes to our Privacy Notice. We will alert you that changes have been made by indicating on the bottom of this Privacy Notice the date it was last updated. These disclosures, terms and conditions may be modified from time to time to be consistent with applicable federal and state law.
