We are working on a number of other activities & enhancements to introduce to Seattle Pride Classic 2023. We’ll announce those as they are solidified.

We’re thrilled to again host (the first-ever) and one-of-its-kind  All Stars of Pride brought to you by Alaska Airlines!

This marquee game will celebrate participants who exemplified SPHA’s three pillars: Education, Opportunity & InclusionParticipants will be nominated by their tournament peers and each team will send a minimum of one (1) representative to the game. We encourage all tournament participants to stay after their final game and be part of this special game.

Following the Alaska Airlines: All Stars of Pride game on Sunday, Seattle Pride Hockey Association is hosting a Pride Skate for all tournament participants and volunteers; guests are invited to attend as well after watching the game. This is a great opportunity to meet other teams/participants, and a nice send-off to an amazing weekend.

Spectatorship is always free! Registration is required to participate in the Pride Skate.

After the final whistle on Friday & Saturday evenings, come on out as a team to The 4th Period @ Union Seattle. Mix & mingle with other tournament teams & participants, plus the Seattle Pride Hockey Association crew. Union Seattle is our official Host Bar for the weekend and they are excited to welcome all tournament participants and their guests. Union Seattle features a very large, spacious setting including an outdoor patio.

Seattle Pride Hockey Association understands and recognizes how cost prohibitive our sport is, and more so, how expensive it can be to attend a hockey tournament. To make the Seattle Pride Classic as inclusive as possible – SPHA is introducing the Matthew Campbell Memorial Scholarship to decrease economic barriers to participating and increase the opportunity to play in the Seattle Pride Classic 2023.

We’ll be hosting Pride Tape with a Pro again at Seattle Pride Classic 2023. This feature is great for anyone of all ages. Get one-on-one time with a Pro of your choice — including Stanley Cup Champion, Andrew Ference, and Ed Chynoweth Cup Champion, Luke Prokop.

They will wrap your hockey stick (or anything of your choosing, really) in Pride Tape.

All proceeds benefit the Seattle Pride Hockey Association and our development of events & programs.

Please welcome Andrew Ference, Luke Prokop, Jessica Platt & J.T. Brown. Andrew has long been a supporter of promoting equality and inclusion in the sports. In 2021, Luke came out as gay, becoming the first player under contract with an NHL team to do so.  Jessica was the first transgender woman to play in the Canadian Women’s Hockey League and is an advocate for transgender rights. Andrew, Luke, Jessica & J.T. will all participate in a variety of ways, including playing on teams and our Pride Tape with a Pro fundraiser.

As we make progress in our sport and community, there comes a point when actions mean more than words. You may be surprised to know that this tournament isn’t about playing hockey. In fact, it’s also not about scoring the most goals, or making the most saves, or even winning for that matter. It’s much much more.

We’re building a community.

If you are traveling from outside Washington State, you will want to fly into Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA). We’ve partnered with Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Seattle/Northgate in 2023 as our Host Hotel.

Yes, absolutely! We welcome all skill levels. Even if you just started playing hockey, don’t fret! We have a non-competitive division for you.

That’s great! If you are interested in joining Team Trans, please contact Avery and Mason who will be managing the teams formation. Visit

We are so thankful for our Team Captains! It is truly a thankless job and without them, we couldn’t cultivate the experience we are aiming for.

In 2023, the Team Captain role will be different. It is our intent for Team Captains to take on a more involved leadership role, and we are compensating for it.

Check out the newly-formed Team Captain site for all the details.

For now, simply put: register as a Skater and indicate your interest in being a Team Captain during registration. As participants express interest in being Team Captain’s, we will email them all the details, and ultimately, select individuals best-suited to fulfill the role.

The times listed below are game start through game end times. (For example, the final game on Friday will begin at around 9:45 PM and conclude by 11:00 PM. On Saturday, start around 8:30 PM and end by 11:00 PM).

Friday: 3:30 PM – 11:00 PM

Saturday: 8:30 AM – 11:00 PM

Sunday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM

On Sunday, following the 2:30 PM start of Alaska Airlines: All Stars of Pride, we are hosting a Pride | Hockey | Celly Party complete with a catered appetizers, dinner, plus a Pride Skate. Participants + volunteers are included and guests/spectators are welcome to join for a small admission cost (of course, spectatorship is always free!)

We’re glad you asked! Producing the Seattle Pride Classic is massively expensive. Each individuals registration dues account for approximately 55% of the actual costs to produce the tournament. To ensure the tournament is affordable and accessible to everyone, the remaining 45% is subsidized by our sponsors & supporters through the sale of advertising options.

While you may request to register with family or a friend, we strongly encourage participants utilize this tournament as a means to meet new people. After all, this tournament is for the community. Generally speaking, you likely get to play with your friend/family member each week — try and branch out if you’re comfortable with it. All that said, we are restricting “pairing” requests to one per participant. Large groups of pairing requests is basically forming a team and multiple pairings make it incredibly difficult to balance teams and skill. We appreciate your understanding in keeping this tournament competitive but fun.

Seattle Pride Hockey Association has tried to blend all skill levels across our teams. However, it is apparent that we need to host Competitive and Non-Competitive Divisions to further create the space needed to welcome our beginner/novice players. One Conference will be the Trailblazers Conference, containing the Competitive Division. The other is the Queer Icons Conference, containing two Non-Competitive Divisions. The tournament producers will hand select each participants placement in the appropriate conference while trying to balance pairing requests.
