This was the first time I've felt comfortable saying "My girlfriend is sitting in the stands watching". Growing up in Seattle meant that I rarely experienced any homophobia but moving to rural Pennsylvania has meant that I see it in lockerooms and other moments.
I had heard amazing things from past participants. This was the first year I was able to join. All my already high expectations were met or exceeded. THANK YOU to all the organizers, volunteers, pros, sponsors, etc. for making this happen. There is nothing else like it. Universe willing, I'll be back every year from now on!
Y'all truly did a fantastic job. The planning, the layout, the scholarships and managing everything that came your way was truly amazing. Thank you for in. It made for an experience I'll never forget, and a tournament I hope I'll be able to come all of the work you put back to year after year.
