RAIN CITY RUSH
Seattle Pride Hockey Association hosts a traveling team — the Rain City Rush, which was formerly known as Team Seattle — across a variety of team-based tournaments. If you are interested in the opportunity to travel with Rain City Rush, register as a new player below and we’ll be in touch when there is an opening. We try to travel a few times per hockey season to some of the team-based tournaments listed in our Tournament Directory.
How traveling with Rain City Rush works
Once you register with Rain City Rush, you’re essentially on the team! Each summer/fall, typically prior to the traditional hockey season, we send out a poll to all registered Rain City Rush players—whether you’ve played before or not—to gauge interest in upcoming team-based tournaments.
The Tournament Selection Process
Assuming there is strong interest to travel to a city, once the tournament dates are announced and registration opens, Rain City Rush follows a two-phased approach:
- Priority Registration: Players who participated in the previous year get the first opportunity to register. (If it’s our first time attending a tournament, registration is open to all Rain City Rush players first-registered, first-confirmed.)
- General Registration: Generally after a couple of weeks, if spots are still available, registration then opens on a first-registered, first-confirmed basis to all remaining Rain City Rush players.
What cities does Rain City Rush travel to
Rain City Rush travels to cities that host full teams. For cities that host individual, draft-style tournaments – including Seattle Pride Classic, Chelsea Challenge, Saguaro Cup and Western Cup – you would simply register as a free agent and go through the team drafting process.

- February: Frozen Pride Classic – Winthrop, WA
- March: The Palm Springs International Pride Hockey Tournament – Palm Springs, CA
- August: Chicago Market Days Classic – Chicago, IL (held every ~2-3 years)
- September: TCQHA Salad Classic – Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN
- October: Canada Cup – Toronto, ON or Montreal, QC
